  1. Questions about 2.8 data streaming.

    Hi, we have migrated to 2.8 version of the engine and I have some questions about some changes. Our start up time increased noticeable. Is there a connection with the data streaming setup and cache? Is it possible to disable unloading of streamed textures which where already loaded? Streaming from HDD is really slow, is a SSD mandatory for your engine now ? Is it possible to force resource upload into VRAM? We are observing many spikes when moving the camera arround in the microprofiler when textures are not loaded and view direction moves again to highpoly/material count area.   3. Hello, I'm looking for recommendations on data sources that I can use to generate procedural buildings with geo-referenced landscapes. I'll be trimming the data using GlobalMapper. Currently I have been testing with Geofabrik.de OpenStreetMaps for my sample data, but it does not seem to include a lot of residential areas. If you think there is a data source that might include more residential zones, I'd love to hear about it. Thank you!
  4. Hi, I observed strange thing with Unigine scripts in Editor2. You added asset folder (to data folder, existing one). So from this moment we have 2 duplicated Unigine script files which are exactly the same, but works differently: To see changes via hot reload by world_reload command it is necessary to edit script file from data directory. That's fine. The only problem is that when I load or reload world in Editor2 then the script file from data directory is replaced by script file from asset directory. It is error prone and very uncomfortable. By mistake it is really easy to lose all changes in script file. Please FIX it to operate just on one Unigine script file (from asset or data folder).
