terrain detail material texture

Hi Community,

 

has anyone a shareable set of tiled terrain detail textures ( e.g. grass, ground, gravel, rock, ... ) including diffuse, normal and specular maps for use with the new UNIGINE terrain ?

 

There are some samples on the internet, but a nice collection with larger count of different types, higher quality and available normal/spec maps seems to be hard to find.

did you checkout cgtextures ?

 

They are free to use for commercial use - free memberships limits you to 15 MB /day. The payed one give you more download per day.

 

okay you don't have normals and specular... maybe just generate them from the diffuse in photoshop? (macro)

yes, found there some textures, but you already mentioned the missing normals/spec maps. What I am look for is higher quality collection with consistent look/feel, tile resolution of min 1024x1024 and type diversity (e.g. UNITY provides a terrain texture pack with 20 textures). Unfortunately I haven't even found a matching commercial texture pack fullfilling these quite basic requirements.

These texture packs are perfect for architecture, but unfortunately at least now no ground textures (e.g. grass, gravel, dirt etc)
