bug: some windows not showing on Linux

material graph window and bake lighting setting window not showing (there might be some others I missed)

Could you please do a quick check and see if they will appear after Windows -> Reset Windows Layout?

Indeed with the latest Gnome (44.3+) external Qt windows are not drawn correctly in the Editor. We are currently researching what may cause this behavior.

As a temporary workaround you can try to switch DE to KDE or XFCE until this will be resolved (presumable in the upcoming 2.18 update).

thanks, will consider switching, currently we have too much stuff laying around to do it immediately.

is the next version expected to come out in the next month or two?

also was wondering, are there plans to do automatic hot updates in the future for bugs, instead of waiting for the next big release?

Yes, we hope so.

Usually, we publish hotfixes within a month after the release of a new update. After shipping the hotfix, all the newly discovered bugs are being scheduled for the upcoming SDK release.
