Ludovico
Hello wondering if are there any major performance penalties with 64bit coordinates? That is, all things being equal, how much slower would the 64bit version be of a large outdoor scene? Link to comment
silent
Ludovico Double build is for sure slightly slower than float one. I can't say the exact numbers since it's highly depends on your workload. You can request a free Engineering evaluation version (with doubles) and do some tests on your side that would represent your use-case. Thanks! binstream
It really depends on the scene and features used. Typically the cost of double precision is about 10-30% on the CPU side. 1 Link to comment
