werner.poetzelberger
Hey. The SSR of the waters do fade toward the borders of the render window. We have a turning camera, so it is pretty obvious when they fade away. Can this be improved? Edited April 27, 2020 by werner.poetzelberger Link to comment
silent
Have you tried to use render_border in that case? How to submit a good bug report --- FTP server for test scenes and user uploads: ftp://files.unigine.com user: upload password: 6xYkd6vLYWjpW6SN Link to comment
werner.poetzelberger
Ah, is that the replacement for the border plugin. That works, costs a lot of performance for that kind of fix. Would that be possible to fix differently or is it the nature of the SSreflection that it needs more pixels? Thank you. Link to comment
silent
That blend is calculated inside getWaterSSR function (pay attention to ssr.a value) in core\shaders\water\screen_space\fragment\composite_deferred_overwater.frag shader. You can try to play with different parameters to see if you can get a better results for your use-case. helmut.bressler
Hello Silent, thank you for pointing us there. That is what we are looking for. We still need to use a bit of border, but it shouldn't be a issue performance wise. Unfortunately now we are encountering an issue with the projection matrix together with the render_border command. I made a new topic for that. Many thanks in these busy days Helmut Link to comment
