SSR Water fading towards edge of window

Hey.

The SSR of the waters do fade toward the borders of the render window.

We have a turning camera, so it is pretty obvious when they fade away.

Can this be improved?

Ah, is that the replacement for the border plugin.

That works, costs a lot of performance for that kind of fix.

Would that be possible to fix differently or is it the nature of the SSreflection that it needs more pixels?

That blend is calculated inside getWaterSSR function (pay attention to ssr.a value) in core\shaders\water\screen_space\fragment\composite_deferred_overwater.frag shader.

You can try to play with different parameters to see if you can get a better results for your use-case.

Hello Silent,

thank you for pointing us there. That is what we are looking for. We still need to use a bit of border, but it shouldn't be a issue performance wise.

Unfortunately now we are encountering an issue with the projection matrix together with the render_border command. I made a new topic for that.
