Unigine 2.0 Peformance Enhancements

Hi there,

 

While there seems to be a lot of (impressive) performance enhancements to the editor in the Unigine 2.0 release notes (eg. selection, undo etc.) I'm more interested in performance enhancements at run time.  

 

Are there any statistics for this?  If not there can we get a general idea as to what sort opf speed-ups we can expect in terms of

 

* General 3D rendering:  In particular Terrain rendering - this is pivotal to our software and we tend to have very large terrain objects.

* GUI speedups.  We have a lot of data we populate lists and Datatables especially which we populate with (potentially ) thousands of rows of data at any given time.

* Unigine Script performance improvements?

 

Any info. on this would be much appreciated.

I wouldn't expect too much improvements for Unigine Script as this have already been optimized in the past. Scripting performance is by principle limited, esspecially if it comes to quite complex logic/mass data processing. Depending on your specific use case switching to C++ might provide significat performance improvements.
