cinetec_tech
Is deferred diffuse color pass still useful? I think it's currently only used when deferred shading enabled. am i right? both deferred lighting and forward rendering use their own diffuse pass for each light. please explain thanks. unclebob
Hi there, Cinetec! In deferred mode, deferred pass is used for opaque geometry and forward passes are used to render transparent geometry. We had a very uncommon case where two passes were combined on one surface in order to get postfx based on deferred textures working properly and still have 'almost opaque'-ish look. But now we get rid of this. Link to comment
