danni.coy
I am using app wall to run 3 screens using three graphics cards. I am getting a serious framerate drop using the appwall setup as opposed to running a large buffer accross all three screens. Any suggestions on where I might look to get better performance? frustum
AppWall performs three scene renders with three independent projection/modelview matrices. AppSurround performs only one scene render with single projection/modelview matrix. You can use AppSurround if you don't need three independent projections. Link to comment
danni.coy
We do need independent projections.... I have a partial solution however. I naively thought since I was running 3 windows on 3 screens that the computer that I would get a card running each window. Setting the computer up for Trifire seems to have aleviated our problems somewhat - updating to the latest version of the drivers also helped Link to comment
manguste
If possible, it also makes sense in your case to render each 3-monitor configuration via AppSurround. For example: --- | | | --- can be rendered as 3 x AppSurround. Link to comment
ulf.schroeter
With just one projection matrix distortions towards the outer edges might be too large and would look quite unnatural Link to comment
danni.coy
The screen configuration is now 7 screens with 30 degrees between each screen. Trifire is making things workable at the moment but still open to other suggestions. Link to comment
