[SOLVED] Flickering fog in distance

In our level we got a few volume fog boxes for various thigns for example a cave in a mountain

but when you move far away the fog seems to pop out of the mountain for example while when close it really is under the terrain

 

How could I resolve this?

Maybe by setting some max visible distance for fog surface. If I remember right there are also options for smoothly fading the fog effect with distance (at least for LightVolumes here is such fading...) Deactivation at larger distances should also be good for performance

Why didnt I think of this...I just set the distance much lower and it doesnt need any fading as its under the ground or in a cave, thanks for the reply!
