Workflow for river flow maps

Iam using unigines terrain system with a height map,the terrain has rivers i want to assign a flow map material to.However i would need to make a river plane offline in a dcc tool and then import the geo into unigine is that right?Whats the typical process used to have complex and big rivers with flow maps?
