2.17.0.1 Hotfix Released!

We'd like to thank all of you for your valuable feedback and bug reports helping us get better.

This hotfix resolves a number of issues introduced in 2.17.

Upgrading to 2.17.0.1 does not require any code or content migration.

The updated version of the documentation is available as 2.17.

Engine

  • Fixed an issue with transparent blur effect rendering for the mesh_base material on DirectX 12.
  • Fixed an issue with World Bound Boxes of nodes resulting in incorrect rendering of shadows.
  • Fixed a crash and shadows rendering issues related to out-of-bound access on high CPU/core count rigs.
  • Fixed an issue with emission rendering for the grass_base material.
  • Fixed issues with the Surround plugin rendering on VULKAN API.
  • Fixed handling of IO errors on decompressing data of Landscape Layer Maps (lmap).
  • Restored the missing dirt_scale slider in the render_composite.basemat material eliminating related shader compilation errors.
  • Fixed issues with adding clouds and water to the Screen Color Opacity buffer.
  • Fixed processing of GPU streaming tasks for the Landscape Terrain object data sometimes leading to engine becoming unresponsive.

Editor

  • Fixed an issue with unavailable context menu items in the Materials window on enabling States in filters.
  • Fixed a crash on performing an UNDO operation after editing a Landscape Layer Map with a normal and inverted brushes.
  • Fixed a crash on selecting a compressed mask texture in the Clutter Mask Paint Mode as well as other issues related to creation of render target textures with compressed formats.  
  • Fixed an issue with updating default parameter values of material graphs after changing them [DirectX 12].
  • Fixed an issue with baking light from static World Light sources to Global Illumination. Multiple bounces are now properly baked into Voxel Probes and Lightmaps as well.
  • Fixed an issue with painting masks for Clutters attached as children to the Landscape Terrain object.
  • All links to Documentation from UI now lead to the corresponding version of Docs.

Other Improvements

  • Fixed DirectMemoryImport sample and added information on supported file formats.
  • Fixed errors on saving a world in C# components that use Input functions related to uint-enum values conversion.
