romain.janil
Hello, I need some more information about what projection/transformation is used in the built-in geodetic pivot by old landscape tool, and also what is happening under the hood with make curved function, I couldn't find that in the doc. Thanks Link to comment
bmyagkov
Hello! Landscape Tool will transforms raster data into EPSG:4326/WGS84 and GeodeticPivot uses azimuthal equidistant projection as it has the useful properties that all points on the map will be at proportionately correct distances from the center point as well as they will have at the correct azimuth (direction) from the pivot's origin. Thanks! 1 Link to comment
romain.janil
thanks, regarding pivot guessing central lat/long is shifted to the gaming area center, what about false north/east, are they also shifted, and if probably so, how ? or may be it's not? And does the Cartesian origin is located ON the ellipsoid (in this case WGS84) or is it on a sphere? thanks Edited October 18, 2021 by romain.janil Link to comment

It's solved on GDAL side and Geodetic pivot expects to get normal LAT\LON cords without any offsets 19 minutes ago, romain.janil said: And does the Cartesian origin is located ON the ellipsoid (in this case WGS84) or is it on a sphere? It's located on the ellipsoid for sure Thanks! Link to comment
