but still in Unigine 2.10 the resulting LandscapeTerrain

Converted in R16 using Houdini output, packed raster, single channel, 16b fixed, height output layer in R. The height range is correct 1296m.

Hello @davide445,

your Houdini project works fine for me.

The only issue was with the TGA 16 bit fixed output, somehow it was saved in 8 bits anyway (maybe it's the problem of Houdini output or even the format itself) while PNG and TIFF were totally ok. Try using these formats.

Thanks!

@thomalexI work on terrains rarely and based my settings on this conversation with morbid

He suggested to use Single Channel as Format, will this make any difference? Also wondering now if 32F mean fixed or float.

Apologize not doing my research before, find more efficient to ask experts instead of testing all the combinations.

@davide445 These suggestions related to the Landscape Tool used for Terrain Global generation. Since you're using the Lanscape Terrain, you can use textures with any number of channels and specify the channel that contains your heightmap data in the Landscape Layer Map import settings.

32F is for Float, for sure.

Thanks!
