dongju.jeong
The imposter LOD visibility range setting is rather strange. It appears that a value greater than the setting has been applied. If you set the mesh's LOD Max Visibility value to 60 and the Imposter LOD's Min Visibility value to 60, I can not create a smooth connection. Importer nodes are rendered late. I tested with pine_01_1.node of vegetation add ons. and... other question, Where can I change the visible distance of the shadow being rendered? morbid
Hello @dongju.jeong, 6 hours ago, dongju.jeong said: It appears that a value greater than the setting has been applied Have you checked Fade distance value? It actually applies to the Visibility distance. 6 hours ago, dongju.jeong said: Where can I change the visible distance of the shadow being rendered? You can find global shadow distance settings in Windows -> Settings -> Render - Visibility distances: https://developer.unigine.com/en/docs/2.7.3/editor2/settings/render_settings/visibility_distances/ Thank you! dongju.jeong
I set both fade value 10. or 0 Maybe I made the wrong imposter. I test it in this project. there is one tree in world. test_geoTerrain.7z Link to comment
dongju.jeong
I think it's because of the space gap. Is there a way to reduce the amount of space an Imposter occupies? a few test later, set higher the value of the fade, the more natural it became.(60+) If no special problem occurs, I'll set higher value of fade and just use it. This gap is created intentionally for proper billboard rotation. Usually, trees are created as Clutter objects. You can use Impostors Creator with clutter which is much easier than baking single tree to a billboard. Please, check this article: https://developer.unigine.com/en/docs/2.7.3/editor2/tools/impostors_creator/ Thank you.
