[SOLVED] Grass not affected by LightWorld/Spots etc?

Hello

 

I have the problem that our grass does not interact with light, so for example, if i have a Tree that makes shadow or a Hillside that draws shadow on my terrain, everything is affected by it, just not grass.

 

can some1 help or is this a known issue?

Hi Pascal, while testing your problem we encounter the opposite problem: we cannot deactivate LightWorld shadows on grass (see tree shadows in screenshot). Tested both with 20110310 and 20110407-SDK under DirectX 9.

 

Might be a grass shadow bug.

Hello Ulf

 

 

I speak shortly for Pascal:

We had a wrong configuration with our grass, cause of this there was no shadow.

After fixing that, shadow can now be turned on or off.

 

Tested with 0310 and 0407 builds on ATI-GPUs.

Thanks for the Screenshot Ulf.

 

We fixed the problem, like Manuel said - was a missconfiguration of the Grass itself.

 

No custom Light Mask Denis.
