javier.serrano
Hi, I have been doing some research with Sectors/Portals/Occlusion because in our next project there will be a huge number of meshes in scene and we need optimization. WorldSector is working perfectly, but the shadows of the objects that it is disabling are still rendered. With the big number of objects in scene, this shadow rendering can be a performance problem. ¿Is this an expected behaviour of WorldSector? I am including two images of this behaviour: [Scene with WorldSectors disabled] [Scene with WorldSectors enabled] Best regards, Javier. Link to comment
silent
Hi Javier, Yep, there is indeed something strange happens in 2.7 and upcoming 2.7.1 SDK as well. We've added this bug to our internal bug tracker. Will try to fix in 2.7.2+ updates. Thank you for the bug report! javier.serrano
Hi Silent, thanks for your response. I will take care of disabling shadows in my side by the way. Moreover, this behaviour seems to happen also with Occludders. Thanks, Javier Link to comment
silent
There is separate option available for occluder shadows disabling (render_occluders_shadows).
