honya Posted August 31, 2017 Share Posted August 31, 2017 Hi, when i get normal texture from material, it return damaged normal textures. Test scene is attached normal_atlas.rar. I have set normal texture (Darkelf_armor_m_helmet_n.dds) in material, when i read it via getImageTextureImage, i get normal_from_material.dds. The textures ares not same. Why? Is damaged only normal maps and other textures are working just fine in your case? Thanks! silent Posted September 1, 2017 Share Posted September 1, 2017 As a workaround you can assign normal map texture to the albedo slot and get it from here. The thing is that texture in normal map slot has unsigned format, bat engine internally threat it like signed one (therefore you have some weird artifacts). We will see if we can find any other solutions (maybe decompress image than compress it again will also fix this behavior). Thanks!
