drew.groeger
Would be great to be able to use a 3D mouse when navigating in Unigine (being a 3D world and all). Specifically I'm referring to http://www.3dconnexion.com/products/spacemouse.html SpaceMouse and SpaceNavigator. Both are great for efficiently moving through a 3D space and far easier than the current WASD+left button method. Link to comment
silent
Hi Drew, Yes, this seems to be the right way to navigate in 3D worlds :) We don't have plan yet to integrate 3dconnexion devices, sorry. I will add this task to our TODO list, but can't give you any ETA (we don't have 3D Mouse in our R&D office yet). But if you already have this device programmers can integrate it with our engine using C++ API (write custom plugin) and 3dconnexion SDK: http://www.3dconnexion.com/service/software-developer/licence-agreement/sdk-download.html Thanks! drew.groeger
I missed the one-year anniversary of asking for this so I will kindly ask again. I get that I could hack/write this myself, but that's not the intent of this "Suggestion" forum, is it? Link to comment
silent
Hi Drew, Yep, writing simple C++ plugin on your side should do the trick :) Unfortunately, we still have no time to check this SDK. Klimczak.Jan
Hi, 3D mouse will help you a lot to build and navigate in 3D world in the engine and in your 3D tool. Please try it :) Link to comment
