I ve checked updated vegetation library,  there is some quite usefull stuff, so thanks for update. Anyway I think it would be good idea to unite all models. I really like billboard mesh LOD (btw, why is there twice?), which is very usefull if I place tree manually as node, not as clutter. Only some models contain these lods and it would be nice to have this as standard everywhere. I would also like to ask, if there is plan to further expand this library.

 

It would be also handy to have some in-engine tool for automatical generating of these billboard LODs for any mesh, it could save lots of work during optimization phase. Some one click solution, which grabs texture, adds mesh, creates material, asignes material...

 

Same for billboard for clutters. It would be big time saver to fully automatize this (creation of object grass, grabbing BB, creating material, asigning...extension of grabber?) and fill everything with default values for manual editing.

We have an internal roadmap for high-level forest tool, but it will be implemented only after improving the terrain toolset.

 

Great, can you make your 2015 roadmap public?
