Introducing the content library pack with some cool pre-set materials and special effects: Content Library downloads

Materials:

* gold

* silver

* glass

* car paint

* floor tile

* concrete

* stucco

* rubber

* ocean water (calm / breeze / gale/ storm)

 

SFX:

* explosions

* fire

* smoke

* rain

* snow

* welding

 

It will be extended and included into the later version of Unigine SDK.

This content library is very usefull and the sfx are amazing . Very good job

all particle effects looks real explosion and fire are very impressive , same for grass system

in Unigine is easy to make a field of grass with color noise so real ;):)

The trees were really nice, but we found that the materials had a lot of problems, that likely arise from the test scenes that were used to set them up.

 

- the refractive mats were not setup to interact correctly with the environment.

- there were a few pathing issues with maps that referenced waterwar. (caused a few a few crashes)

 

Can i suggest setting up mats and assets in a standard Library scene with ideal conditions (eg tropics but this HDR). Then maybe there could be a few standard environments with different skys and cubmap backgrounds.

 

Thanks for the Content library, this will give new users good ideas on how to set up mats and models etc.

What materials exactly caused problems?

Yes, we plan to add more pre-set worlds.

I forgot to enable post scattering flag in the material. Also keep in mind that glass object must contain two surfaces with reflection and refraction materials

There is a two interesting textures in a library:

 

forest_billboards_d.dds

bush_billboards_d.dds

 

Is there any showcases shows how to mass implement them as a billboards on a background?

I think there is an upcomming new UNIGINE demo called Valley for demonstration of new terrain and vegetation system. Some pre-release screenshots here
