demostenes Posted June 18, 2014 Share Posted June 18, 2014 For some vegetation we are using only 3 mip maps because performance impact is minimal and visual difference quite big. I ve noticed, that when we have warning ImageFileDDS::load(): can't skip mipmaps in "asset_library\vegetation\...in console (caused by this 3 mip maps textures) it always causes small lag. Would be possible to eliminate this lag? It seems, that similar lag is caused by "has non power of two size..." warning. Link to comment

Could you please check this micro lag behavior with correct textures (with full set of mipmaps and power of two texture size textures)? Also, you can try to change mipmap type in material settings to Point filtering and see if this helps (please, see the attached picture). If nothing helps, please send us your problematic models (or even scene where this lag is noticeable) and we will try to fix it. Thanks!
