werner.poetzelberger Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Hello, On my terrain I just put a deferred decal, with the same textures and material settings as the terrain has. Strangely there is a color difference, or probably there is a shading difference, which is most visible in the specular area. It manifests quite visible when I zoom out. I checked all the settings to be the same, there is a white diffuse texture on the terrain and the first and only material of the terrain is set to 'overlap'. The Material Settings of in the material tab are all on default an should be the same for decal and terrrain Here in my case I just have applied a blue diffuse Texture. The images show the same scene just from different angles. So it is rather the shading than the color itself. Ok, I found out, that it hs something to do with the specular color. As there is no way to define a specular color for the terrain itself (I guess it is mixed from the different materials), defining a similar spec. color for the decal can bring the decal appearance closer to the terrain.
