Soft LOD Fade Bug

Problem

Soft LOD fading does not seem to work when setting surface min/max parent to 0 for surface individual distance fading. In this case surfaces just appear/disappear without fade transition (see road surfaces in test case)

Soft LOD fade happens when setting surfaces Min/Max parent to 1, but then of course all surfaces fade in/out at the same parent-relative distance.

I know this issue. Soft fade LODs can't work with non 1 LOD parents now. I will fix this bug only for symmetry min/max surface parents. In next update. samples/objects/lods_3 will shows this technique.

ok, but there might be also a fade problem for symmetry min/max = 1 LOD parent, as you can see on the attached screenshot. Please try to reproduce problem with the provided test case and following steps.

  1. set LOD min/max parents for all road surfaces to 1
  2. Focus camera on road top level node to set camera rotation pivot to center of geometry
  3. zoom in until road network is visible/fading in
  4. rotate around geometry pivot

From different camera positions different fade levels are visible, but I would expect more or less constant fade level as camera distance should be the same when rotating around parent pivot (screenshots taken from opposite view directions).
