fabrice.picou
Hi Unigine Team ! Is there a way to soften the volumetric cloud artifacts other than by lowering to the minimum the volume.scattering value of the sky material and raising the volume.multiplier? I did not feel that the resolution of the mask of the sky object changes anything to my problem, artifacts appear only at the boundary between the shadowed volumes and the illuminated volumes of the cloud. Attached two screenshots illustrating the problem, I purposely increased the color contrast to enhance the effect. Thanks in advance for your replies. Link to comment
manguste
Hi Fabrice! That's what Parameters -> Volume -> Turbulence in Materials is for. It adds noise and allows for hiding slices used to render volumetric clouds. The more it is increased, the lesser slices are visible. No Turbulence: With Turbulence: Link to comment
