[SOLVED] Mesh_overlap_base material options

Would it be possible to have custom options for the overlapping of the mesh_overlap_base material?

At the moment it overlaps fine but the normalmap of the underlying material is too present on the overlapping material and thus taking away all the detail,

for example a rock covered with sand results in the sand details being washed away

 

It would be nice if there were options to make it overlap simular to the overlap mode from the terrain material, I noticed that the mesh_layer_base material does overlap its material in such a way
