  1. Simple Fade using track

Can anyone point the way to making a billboard fade in and out (probably using a track) There must be a simple way of doing this, but ive been through the majority of track options and cant find a way of fading the billboard in and out. I was expecting to be able to vary the transparancy of the the material, but that doesnt seem to be an option. I also looked at distances at which an object becomes solid/transparent, which works if just manually tweaking the numbers in the node editor, but i cant find a paramater in the track editor to adjust that particular setting.
