Lales.Charles Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Hi, I do have an issue using sandworm to generate a terrain south of Germany with attached file. In sandworm UI, if I change coordinate system as EPSG:25832 there is no consistent preview, I need to keep EPSG:3857. Also in generation settings, if I set - Projection > EPSG:25832 -> inconsistent result, only black flat material, no texture - Projection > EPSG:3857-> already better, elevation and texture are there. Do you reproduce? Would you see why? Something I am doing wrong? Regards, 800_5284.tif 32800_5284.tif
bmyagkov Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Hello @Lales.Charles It seems that the data used is not aligned with the selected projection. Please refer to the attached image, where the purple cross marks the actual location. Choosing a more suitable projection for this data may resolve the issue. You can use https://epsg.org/ to find the best-fitting projection with minimal inaccuracy for the selected area. For this specific data you might consider using EPSG:25833 as this projection worked as expected during the generation process. Thanks! 1
Lales.Charles Posted February 10 Author Posted February 10 Hi, Thanks for the indications! Yes EPSG:25833 seems to do the job, but from source data pages mention EPSG:25832: https://geodaten.bayern.de/opengeodata/OpenDataDetail.html?pn=dop20rgb https://geodaten.bayern.de/opengeodata/OpenDataDetail.html?pn=dgm1 Do you think there is an issue from the data provider? Regards, Charles

There may be other factors to consider and reaching out to the data provider could provide additional clarity on this behavior. However, for now, even third-party software like QGIS confirms that the data is outside its projection boundaries, just as it appears in the Unigine Editor. However, both QGIS and the Unigine Editor rely heavily on the GLAD plugin which could explain why they behave the same way :) Thanks! 1
