ShadowZelda Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Hello, I parented my objects to the ObjectLandscapeTerrain but the Z - Position won´t be adjusted by the Unigine Editor accordingly to the LandscapeLayerMap. It seems to make no difference if: I use ObjectMeshStatic directly I use Node References I use ObjectMeshClutter parent it to the ObjectLandscapeTerrain parent it to the LandscapeLayerMap directly Grass works as intended with the same ObjectLandscapeTerrain and LandscapeLayerMap Since I know that it worked in previous versions, I assume that this is a bug and not intended behaviour. Windows, Unigine SDK 2.18.0.1. Can be reproduced in a new project - see attached image. Kind regards
bmyagkov Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Hello! To intersect ObjectMeshCluster objects with the surface, please follow these steps: First, "unpack" the ObjectMeshCluster by clicking the "Edit" button in the Parameters tab; Then, select the child nodes you wish to intersect with the Landscape Terrain; Next, click the "Drop To Ground" button from the top menu in the Editor to align the selected objects with the ground; Finally, press the "Apply" button to save your changes and pack the ObjectMeshCluster back. Please see the attached video for a demonstration of the process :) Thanks! 2024-08-14 18-28-16.mp4 1
ShadowZelda Posted August 14 Author Posted August 14 Hi bmyagkov, I totally forgot that it needs to be made manually and thought it would snap automatically, just like the grass, but that makes way more sense. Thank you for the quick response! It won't happen a second time :) Thanks again and kind regards 1
