jackool Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 (edited) Hi! I am working in a VR project to simulate aircraft with varjo XR3 and NVIDIA RTX A5000. Problem 1: When I change the heading or roll, the frame rate of the VR View drops significantly from 80FPS to 40FPS. But when I change altitude or fly in a straight line, this problem won't be such significant。 Question 2: The average frame rate in VR scenes is 80FPS, with a minimum frame rate of 40FPS or even 27FPS. But the frame rate will periodically decrease, just like going from 80FPS to 40FPS, then 80FPS, then 40FPS. Is there any solution or experience, please inform us!!!! werner.poetzelberger Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 I am just guessing as it sounds like a sync thing. Not sure if VR uses Vsync as well or other syncs. When the app renders over 80 fps then it caps the output to 80, when it drops under 80, then it uses the half refreshrate. Maybe? Best.Werner 1
jackool Posted December 7, 2023 Author Posted December 7, 2023 Thanks! When I turned on V-Sync and limited Max FPS to 45 FPS, the visuals improved significantly. 1
