brentskegg Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Hello! I'm testing importing geotiff to a landscape/terrain node but looks like I'm doing something seriously wrong (no surprise there): The geotiff file consist of 2000x2000 heightmap values, the spacing between the values is 50 meters making the the whole thing cover a 100x100 km area. As you can see the thumbnail in the asset looks like expected but the terrain in the viewport is squished in X wise compared to the thumbnail (highlighted in red). The blue ? stuff is unknown, dont know where the heightvalues come from. The green highlights in the node parameters is what I entered manually. Hard to explain but its like it has skiped reading heightvalues horizontally (X wise) and only reads every 4th or 5th value. The actual height values in the geotiff are 32 bit signed floats. I choosed Image format R32F when I imported the asset as I thought it ment one channel 32 bit float, not sure though.. My guess the error lies here, will try other formats. The geotiff file can be correctly read/imported in other apps, QGIS for example. Thanks in advance!
brentskegg Posted September 24, 2023 Author Posted September 24, 2023 Huh, I added albedo map and clicked reimport data and it works. Guess I missed click reimport at some stage. 1
