Ben_93 Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 Hi All, Im having some difficulty with occluding sound in inside spaces. I have prepared a simple mesh to occlude sounds for interiors, when listening back sound is occluded both inside (as expected) but also outside the mesh too. I also tried to occlude sound via primitives from unigine, and still the same issue - Sound is occluded inside the primitive bounds, but also in some areas outside of it too. Any idea how I can occlude sound accurately? Many thanks, Ben
silent Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Hi Ben, Could you please send us a minimal test scene with your sounds and walls setup? No need to send the whole project, only a couple of meshes and sounds (just create new world and export it as a package). We'll see if something can be done here. Thanks! How to submit a good bug report --- FTP server for test scenes and user uploads: ftp://files.unigine.com user: upload password: 6xYkd6vLYWjpW6SN
Ben_93 Posted March 31, 2023 Author Posted March 31, 2023 Hi @silent, Thanks for your reply, I tried again and just used some simple primitives to occlude the sound which did the trick (not sure why it is working as expected now). In general do you have any authoring tips for accurate sound occlusion from meshes? Does the occluding geometry need to be modeled a specific way?# Many thanks, Ben
