CC4 to Unigine

Recommended Posts

I tried to add a character made with CC4 to unigine but eyes and eyebrows and hair not look the way it is in cc4, I see that problem is with textures and materials they don't sync at import time, also animations are played separately like T-Shirt is separated anim with body

details on CC4 are huge more than what i see in unigine does anybody else use CC4 and Iclone can you please give me the hint what i can do without much effort?!

I will be extremely thankful

Dont work with cc.
Did you check all the import option for fbx in Unigine.
Also textures have some presets assigned and can be changed in Unigine.
I think there are a couple of import options when it comes to auto assignment of textures to material slots and naming converntions.
I am guessing that there is no predifined pipeline for cc to Unigine, so you might figure out the optimal way.
But generally the fbx import does what it should do in my experience.
Did you consult the docs?

best.

Thank you for advice, I also found out that for playing animations needs to select different body parts that have the animation then hit play button. yes i couldn't figure it out how to do it, but found out that cc4 ports won't work in Modo and Houdini either.

Hi.
Good that you found out a bit more!
In the editor, the animation control is mainly for preview purposes.
So you can play each mesh seperately.
You would need some logic to control your animations for your specific case.

Considering the roadmap of Unigine, they plan to overhaul the 'animation' part.

UNIGINE 2.17+

  • New in-app GUI system
  • New animation system
  • Improved character controllers
  • Improved inland water system
  • Completely revamped Tracker
  • Xbox Series X support
  • PlayStation 5 support
  • Visual scripting (node-based programming)
