Lales.Charles Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Hi, Since testing 2.16b (or SDK browser 2), I see that a folder is taking way too much space: C:\Users\<userID>\AppData\Local\Unigine\Editor\cache\UNIGINE_Editor_Migration E.g. in few days -> 50GB. Is it normal? Any mechanism to clean it at one point? Regards, Charles
silent Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Hi Charles, Usually after the successful migration all the files from this directory should be removed. Do you see any correlation between your actions inside Editor and this folder size growth? Can you also send us this directory listing to understand which files are mostly located there? Maybe you also had some migration crashes? In that case files may still appear inside this folder. But it does look like we can erase them on next Editor start. Need to test assumption first. Thanks! silent Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Yep, confirmed. In 2.16 release this folder would clean up on: Successful migration; Editor quit; Editor start. That should prevent it from growing indefinitely. Thanks! Lales.Charles Posted September 7, 2022 Author Posted September 7, 2022 Hi, Ok thanks for info. Fact is on this machine specifically I tried to load assets vegetation unsuccessfully. And since it crashes -> no proper editor quit. Editor start -> clean of it.. are you sure? Regards, Charles
Lales.Charles Posted September 7, 2022 Author Posted September 7, 2022 See in attached screen shoot, it is another machine where editor start without crash, load world then close. All 3 folders persist.. and use a lot of space don't you think? Regards, Charles
Lales.Charles Posted September 7, 2022 Author Posted September 7, 2022 Hi, Just observed that editor 2.15.1 remove properly this folders.. Whereas 2.16.x seems a bit lazy on this task. Regards, Charles
silent Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Yep, should be fixed in the upcoming relase. 1 How to submit a good bug report --- FTP server for test scenes and user uploads: ftp://files.unigine.com user: upload password: 6xYkd6vLYWjpW6SN
