Phil_T Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 I'd be handy to paste an ID into the filter box to get to a node that you know caused an issue. It's a problem to find when have lots of nodes with similar names (e.g. Cuboid_1 - Cuboid_400)!
silent Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Hi Phil, Thank you for the suggestion. Will for sure implement in the future updates. 1 How to submit a good bug report --- FTP server for test scenes and user uploads: ftp://files.unigine.com user: upload password: 6xYkd6vLYWjpW6SN
silent Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Feature would be available with 2.14 SDK update. Works only when filter ID is fully matching the node ID: 1 How to submit a good bug report --- FTP server for test scenes and user uploads: ftp://files.unigine.com user: upload password: 6xYkd6vLYWjpW6SN
Amerio.Stephane Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Hi, This is good news. I would add that being able to search for any kind of GUID (not just a node GUID) is needed. Sometimes we get a warning about an unsupported texture file with a cryptic GUID, it would be great to know who exactly requires it... Thanks!
silent Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Hi Stephane, Yes I agree that some error messages needs to be refined. We'll think how to improve this in the future SDK versions. ATM you can try to find your GUID in guids.db file and see the original file it refers. Thanks! Amerio.Stephane Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 4 hours ago, silent said: you can try to find your GUID in guids.db file Well, the issue here (in our specific case) is the GUID is not in guids.db either (in fact, a text search in ALL files doesn't find any reference of the GUID). We just have the error msg but no way to find who searches this guid...
silent Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 In that case it may be stored in material (*.mat) / world (*.world) / node (*.node) or property (*.prop) files. Maybe it also store inside *.meta files as well. How to submit a good bug report --- FTP server for test scenes and user uploads: ftp://files.unigine.com user: upload password: 6xYkd6vLYWjpW6SN
