maksim.peters Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 I see that UnigineScript at forum is placed in topic "Legacy" - does it mean that UnigineScript make move to deprecation?
silent Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Hi Maksim, We only fixing critical bugs that related to the UnigineScript. Some parts of the Editor are still using it, so it will be in production for some time. brendan.lyon Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 I'm a little confused by this response - does this mean we should prefer C# or C++ over UnigineScript for new projects?
silent Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Hi Brendon, Yes, exactly. New features will come to the C#/C++, but not for UnigineScript. How to submit a good bug report --- FTP server for test scenes and user uploads: ftp://files.unigine.com user: upload password: 6xYkd6vLYWjpW6SN
mario.cardona Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 I think it's good that you make a takedown notice from UnigineScript since some version of Unigine onwards because already there are things in UnigineScript not work as expected (as of examples of documentation) and that leads to wasted time and possible abandonment of the engine by new users who do not know what is happening.
silent Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 Hi Mario, Yes, good point. Thanks for the suggestion. How to submit a good bug report --- FTP server for test scenes and user uploads: ftp://files.unigine.com user: upload password: 6xYkd6vLYWjpW6SN
