WIP clouds improvements

Work in progress, to be released in 2.12 (more likely). The quality is not final, still working on improvements.

9 types of clouds:

  • Altocumulus
  • Altostratus
  • Cirrocumulus
  • Cirrostratus
  • Cirrus
  • Cumulus
  • Nimbostratus
  • Stratocumulus
  • Stratus

The last one (cumulonimbus) is to come soon as well.

What kind of objects are the streetlights?

street lights are made with emission billboards

Ahh. Thats in the Material, parameter .... keep angular size?

They have the "geometry inflation" state in material. After you turn it on you will be able to control the inflation scale

There is a 'Billboard Scale' and a 'Inflation Scale' parameters.

The Inflationscale doesnt seen to do (a lot) or is it that subtle, that I cant see (it says for airfileds, probably applies to a great distance?)

Billboard scale has nothing to do with billboard inflation scale. Notice that the emission in material parameters of the billboards has a visibility distance slider. maybe you can't see any difference because of that. I've just checked it and it works fine

Right. I notice, that something is happening. So its working.

I was just curious when to use which Scaling method.

The inflation seems to be a very gentle effect for huge distances (and is a dynamic effect?), as the bb scale, scales it more redically (but is static?)

okok.

So its more a minimum value rather a dynamic scaling.

We had nice results there as well. The plan is to present the demo at the World ATM tradeshow (March) showing the improved weather system and later on polish it up to be included as a production solution into the SDK/IG.
