demostenes Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 I am little bit confused from this feature. Under asset browser i understand some tool, which in real time display meshes, nodes, textures, sounds...and allows me it do drag and drop it into scene, or material editor (or any other input box). No more, no less. Some database based approach, when object is refenced into scene through ID not name/path, co I can optimize structure of asset library during project would be nice, but it is not mandatory. I opened new asset browser, it seems it is able to import fbx files in given directory. Drag and drop of mesh into scene works somehow. There is no object preview, it seems I am not able to change default directory for assets. This is all it can do? Or there are any other features planned? Would be possible to add custom path for assets? Thanks.
paralyzah Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Asset Browser is in the development stage for now. We'll improve the functionality and will add more features in future releases. So it is not recommended for production use until 2.3 version. Also, I've added your suggestion (about custom default path for assets) into our technical tasks.Sorry for the inconvenience caused
