jlee
Using Field Spacers to cull grass objects from our roadway. The grass comes back when multiples Spacers are used within the scene. Is there a limitation to their use or am I improperly using them? Link to comment
silent
Hi Joel, How large is your scene and how many Field Spacers are you using? That kind of object designed to hide area from grass (for example, near the large airport) and never intended for the such use-case, I'm afraid. silent
Hi Joel, According to our QA guys current limitations of any spacers objects are: 8 spacers (Field / Animation) simultaneously in the viewport for single object (with the same Field mask). So, if you have multiple ObjectGrass instances you can hide up to 8 parts simultaneously for each ObjectGrass instance. We will check if it is possible to increase that limit in the future. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. How to submit a good bug report --- FTP server for test scenes and user uploads: ftp://files.unigine.com user: upload password: 6xYkd6vLYWjpW6SN Link to comment
silent
Field spacer limit will be increased up to 32 spacers objects per mask. Field animation objects limit will remain the same - 8 objects per mask.
