anthony.liot Posted September 6, 2013 Share Posted September 6, 2013 Hi, When I import a fbx, all my meshes are named "ncl1" so when i import a fbx with 10 meshes i have "ncl1_1" to "ncl1_10" in my meshes folder. (after a few tests i've noticed only the childs, if there's a hierarchy, are named ncl) In the node panel though, the names aren't changed. I exported the fbx from Softimage and in the doubt i've tried exporting it from 3dsmax and i didn't encounter the problemso apparently the problem only appears with softimage. Link to comment

I tried with the 2010 version (6.1) and i don't have the problem anymore so i'm going to export that way for now. silent Posted September 10, 2013 Share Posted September 10, 2013 Yes, this issue is only related with fbx exporter version. It appears with fbxsdk version 7.2.0 (which is default for softimage 2012). I've passed this information to the developers. Thanks!
