[SOLVED] Terrain, Tri-planar mapping not working, if set overlap

Hello, is this a bug? The triplanar mapping of a terrain material does not seem to apply if 'overlap' is selected. If 'overlay' is selected it works fine. In the images, the sand material is on overly, the gravel on overlap. Best.w.

Yep, triplanar option is only available for overlay terrain mapping. That is because of shader complexity. You can use new decals system from upcomming SDK to hide vertical mapping artifacts.

Could we change this in our project's shaders.

 

Or do you mean, it is to complex to do, in general?

You can change shaders in your projects. I don't expect any problem.
