yuwen.xiang Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I create a earth model,but not can display. if I select these nodes,it can display. example picture 1.png and 2.png. Now i add "dds or png " in a node.it can display in "view object". but in Editor not . example picture 3.png and 4.png. The earth model radius is 6356752. why??? Thanks!

fonta.romain Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Perhaps camera far clipping is too low or world distance is not set to infinity (editor render and common tab) ? Or it's a feature ^^
pramod.s Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I think it's far clip issue, it might be very high. Check with the defualt value (10000 meter) of far clip
ulf.schroeter Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 You are using far too large coordinate values (unit [m]) and also far clipping plane values as discussed in the other post. You will encounter all kinds of floating point issues. You should better use down-scaled model units. For some background information have a look e.g. into large world coordinate precision and lots of other articles on the internet covering precision issues when trying to model at very large scales
