manguste Posted July 5, 2012 Share Posted July 5, 2012 Actually, Properties editor is not a modal one. If you are talking about the one accessed via Nodes -> Surfaces -> Property, it's for per-instance tweaking of a property. It is designed for fast changing of one or two parameters, which will create a separate instance of the current property. And that in its turn should be a rare exception, since swamping the world with property instances is in no way performance friendly. All editing is designed to be done in the Properties editor.
