manguste Posted November 25, 2011 Share Posted November 25, 2011 A deferred buffer with normals is just used for faster access to the normals data. Billboards skip this step. Normal maps for leaves are used during light passes (at least in case when forward rendering is used rather than deferred lighting). Simply press 4 hotkey to show normals and you'll see a normal map on leaves. Link to comment
