pascal.winistoerfer
Hello Does anyone know, if there is a way to take the amazing Trees from Speedtree to unigine (with the binary version of unigine) ? They Support very cool Physic Connection and interaction with Wind for example. Take a look at: http://www.speedtree.com/showcase/?video=hand-drawing-and-physx-live-oak I contacted the SpeedTree Team and they said, it's possible to export Meshes from theyr Modeller as .obj Files, which i could export to Unigine .mesh then in 3Ds. However, that would only give a Static Mesh then. Speedtree Uses Bones, i think they will export also to the .obj, so maybe that would work as a .smesh in unigine also - but the animations are not connected then. In case nobody has experience with unigine engine <-> speedtree and noone tells that doesn't work at all, then i'm going for a Evaluation of SpeedTree and provide some Feedback  Greets Pascal Link to comment

pascal.winistoerfer
just to complete this Topic: I don't think Unigen supports our file formats directly, but youshould contact them to find out. Perhaps they will add support for SpeedTree in a future version. - Greg Croft - IDV, Inc - 5446 Sunset Blvd. - Lexington, SC 29072 Link to comment
