AaronBerney Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 (edited) I'm importing dae files from Sket chup with the settings as shown. In 2.18 materials from these are imported as a new simple graph with the albedo set from the file. This doesn't seem to be working in 2.19. I tried importing the same file into blank 2.18 and 2.19 projects, both with the settings shown, and it worked in 2.18 but not 2.19. Edit to clarify: a new material graph is created, but the albedo image is not pulled in. Edited September 28, 2024 by AaronBerney
bmyagkov Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Hello! On 9/28/2024 at 5:42 AM, AaronBerney said: I'm importing dae files from Sket chup with the settings as shown. Could you kindly share the asset with us so we can review its behavior on our end? Thanks!
AaronBerney Posted October 10, 2024 Author Posted October 10, 2024 I created the attached block of wood as an example, zipped to include the adjacent folder containing the texture referenced within the .dae file. The screenshots hopefully illustrate the steps to reproduce this. Normally I would expect a folder containing the texture to be created, and the material graph to reference this, but neither happens. arizmenda Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 Hi Aaron, Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We were able to reproduce it and can confirm that the texture import is not working as expected. In the meantime, we kindly suggest importing your model along with the texture folder to work around this. Regarding the issue, we are aiming to address it in the upcoming SDK 2.19.0.2 release, which is planned for around two weeks from now. Thanks again! Edit: Just like that 2024-10-11 16-17-24.mp4 1
