sebastian.vesenmayer Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Hello, we try to simulate ground fog with a 3D cumulonimbus cloud. We therefore changed the thickness of the cloud, but when we go below 20 units circles appear in the cloud, which does not look very good. Is there any way to changes this? Layer height of 19: Layer height of 20: Thanks :)
silent Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Hi Sebastian, Cumulonimbus clouds are not supposed to be so thin, so I would recommend to try a different preset. And you also can try to move the cloud node below the ground and avoid chaning the cloud layer height. sebastian.vesenmayer Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 Thanks for the hint, I will try this out. :)
silent Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Please let us know if that's somehow will work in your case :) Regarding the ground fog in general there should be a better approach with simple volumetric object, but atm built-in volumetrics are not ready for that kind of tasks. We plan to improve them in the future updates, so it would be really nice if you have some specific requirements for ground fog that we can take a look at before the actual development will start.
