terrainGlobal built-in geodetic pivot question

Hello, I need some more information about what projection/transformation is used in the built-in geodetic pivot by old landscape tool, and also what is happening under the hood with make curved function, I couldn't find that in the doc. Thanks

Hello!

Landscape Tool will transforms raster data into EPSG:4326/WGS84 and GeodeticPivot uses azimuthal equidistant projection as it has the useful properties that all points on the map will be at proportionately correct distances from the center point as well as they will have at the correct azimuth (direction) from the pivot's origin.

Thanks!

thanks, regarding pivot guessing central lat/long is shifted to the gaming area center, what about false north/east, are they also shifted, and if probably so, how ? or may be it's not?

And does the Cartesian origin is located ON the ellipsoid (in this case WGS84) or is it on a sphere?

thanks

It's solved on GDAL side and Geodetic pivot expects to get normal LAT\LON cords without any offsets

It's located on the ellipsoid for sure

Thanks!
