[Feature Request] Cursor Zoom in Editor

Recommended Posts

Cursor Zoom (scroll wheel zoom moves view towards cursor) would make it much easier to navigate the editor view. Any chances of getting this as an option?

I do use "F", but an object needs to be selected. Sometimes I just want quickly move around independent of a specific object. The problem with wasd is that the behavior is different in the two modes. (and you need to have the mouse key pressed). I iso w/s looks like it's changing the clipping plane distance and not moving the view. It's not a high priority to have, but it's becoming pretty standard in "visual" apps. Once you get used to it in your other apps you kind of miss it when it's not there. :)

Ah I see. Do you mean, that you want to Zoom in/out in the Orthographic view.

Yes, the w/s doesnt do that what you want.

But the mousewheel does. Using it in Ortho view, it zooms in and out indeed!

Here a a couple of quick grabs. One shows a 3D Modeling program and the other a Software Modeling program. You can't see the mouse but I have radar blips. This should give you the idea anyway.  On most apps I've seen this on it is enabled with ctrl key.
