scopic
Hello, Please see the included GIF which that demonstrates the issue. Reflections on the floor seem to be quite large and not aligning with the room corners despite the fact that box env probe dimensions are set to match the size of the room. I use Dynamic type but baked one has same issue. I also tried sphere projection shape and it seems that adjusting the Parallax slider has absolutely no visible effect, which is also weird. In this video from your YouTube channel it seems that with box projection shape reflections on the floor are perfectly aligned with the room after tweaking the box size and this is not what I'm seeing here. Could you suggest what might be causing this? Thanks! Edited December 3, 2020 by scopic Link to comment
silent
scopic You can also download and install Art Samples demo to see how to configure the environment probes. Is there any chance that ground surface is using alpha blend material? In that case reflections from the environment probe will not match. scopic
Oh, that was it, disabling alpha blend on it did the job, thanks. Is there any tricks that would make reflections work correctly with transparent materials like glass on windows? Or are we forced to use performance-intensive planar reflections in this case? Thanks for helping out. Link to comment
silent
I'm afraid right now only the planar reflections can provide good results for the alpha blend materials. 1 How to submit a good bug report --- FTP server for test scenes and user uploads: ftp://files.unigine.com user: upload password: 6xYkd6vLYWjpW6SN Link to comment
