We usually use a combination of Field Height, generic particle system, and particles rendered to a decal for ship wake effect. And what do you mean by mask? Are you looking for a way to fade out the "tail" of these white particles? The easiest way for us to help you is to get a configured node with all meshes and materials in a single archive. Meta files are necessary to keep the interconnections between assets. Thanks.
